In creating a comprehensive selection of ground-breaking products, we did a ton of research, and asked a lot of questions. From our discovery, we put together a list of the most common cycling challenges. Are you experiencing any of these?
The type of cage or bottle you have on your bike could be the reason your bottles keep launching. This is the main reason we created the Cage Ecosystem. Your bike experiences 3 different “G-Forces” while in motion: Gravity Force, Ground Force, and Grip Force. Since the strength of these forces differs by location on a bike, a stand-alone, do-it-all cage will do poorly in retaining a bottle, especially if the same type of cage is used throughout the bike. The G-Forces generated by the varying levels of terrain you may ride, designate the ideal cage, grip force, and cage placement on the frame – avoiding accidental pop-outs.
Some bikes are limited by the number of available bosses. When you need an additional cage, use the Bear Hug which will expand the storage capacity on your bike. The Bear Hug Mount fits the widest range of shapes and surfaces by using a large compliant pad for maximum frictional resistance. This means you can strap it to your top tube, underneath your down tube, and behind your seat tube and garner that extra hydration space that is needed.
Sounds like you need a Dirt Mask! We love experiencing the outdoors but not tasting it.
Most other dust or dirt caps only cover the nozzle. This means when you take a drink this dirt can still sneak into the flow. If you really want to keep dirt and mud out of your hydration, the Dirt Mask has the coverage you need. The Dirt Mask guards your entire bottle cap against dirt and dust – even when mounted under down tubes. The skirt around the bottom rim ensures dirt can’t get in leaving your cap & nozzle clean.
Making sure you have the right tools for your ride is important. However, the problem with multi-tools, especially those with 19 or 20 tools, is that they can weigh up to 200 grams!. The Multi Lite 19 allows you to have 19 tools in a small package that only weighs 116 grams.
At Dawn To Dusk, we have an obsession with not carrying excessive weight when riding, and for figuring out ways to utilize wasted space. We’ve developed space and weight saving tools like the Multi Lite 19 and the Socket Lever set which are small enough to fit into a small repair bag or pod.
The main reason repairs take too long is not having the right tools to work with. At Dawn To Dusk, we’ve packaged the 19 most essential and commonly used tools you will need for any situation on your ride. We’ve also laser-etched the tool size onto the tools themselves for easy access. Now you don’t have to scramble trying to locate the tool you need.
Most insulated bottles are made with foam insulation and material reflection. We use material reflection in our Ice Flow Insulated water bottle for two good reasons. By using a highly reflective foil, and keeping graphics to a minimum, there is a greater surface area that reflects heat away keeping liquids cool longer.
Drinking makes it difficult to focus on the trails
Our Aqua Flow water bottle features a jet-like flow. This means you can drink 4 oz in 7 seconds. Our goal is to help you get the hydration you need quickly so that you spend less time drinking and more time focused on what’s in front of you.
Moving your hydration from your back to your bike is easy. Our Cage Ecosystem allows you to add more hydration to your bike. If you’ve run out of bosses for your cages, the Bear Hug Mount allows you to place cages anywhere on your bike. Now you can place a water bottle underneath your down tube, on top of your top tube, or even behind your seat tube. The best part is, you’re free from carrying hydration on your back.
The amount of fluid you will need depends on many factors including your sweat rate, ambient temperature, the correct level of clothing, and effort level. You will probably need between 20 and 31 ounces (600-930 ml) per hour. Our Aqua Flow bottle provides a great way to gauge how much hydration to bring. The Aqua Flow is designed with 4 oz graduations to help control your rehydration. Each bottle is 25 oz (600 ml), and if you do the math that’s 1 bottle per hour. Now you can base the length of your adventure with the number of bottles you will need.
We’ve experienced this problem too, trying to decide how many individual tools are really needed. Should it be 10, 15, 20 or 25 individual tools? Plus, carrying 19-20 tools it usually weighed around 200 grams! To solve this problem, we studied the most used tools in blogs, product reviews, and social media. We looked in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and found that there are 19 tools that are essential. So we packaged them into a compact lightweight set we call the Multi Lite 19.
